Hello,
I have planned to move back to my country (Greece) with my lovely G after finishing my studies at the end of May and i was wondering if anybody know where to service my 230GE W460 1986 in London.
I bought the car last november and i changed immidiately: petrol tank, rear absorbers, front brake disks, front brake pads, alternator, oil filter and oils, plus some other things that i dont remenber now.
My problem is that the consumption is too much (7 miles per gallon).
Any suggestion on what else i need to do before travelling and where to do it?!
thanks in advance!

Anyone interested for swap with LHD?

Come one....one of you Capitalites must know somewhere...help the man out.

Failing that why not take a trip out to leafy Berkshire and see the specialists?

Hi very few garages know how to set up the Bosch Jetronic Mechanical fuel system which may be causing your high fuel consumption...a 230ge should give you 18-25 mpg..any black smoke when the engine idles? hot or cold or a rough running engine.if the cold start system is faulty you can experience poor fuel economy

7mpg is low, but if your in centre of town with a heavy foot it can happen easily!

???? The lowest I have managed out of mine is 8.8/8.9 hot day and aircon going full chat!

If push comes to shove try Mercedes Benz Brooklands - expensive side, but will be all MB parts AND they have the correct MB tuning equipment. If you do call ask to Speak to Gordon Francis and Say Joe Askew suggested you call.
