Chris.
I'll be there, with at least one G, maybe more.
I have a friend with an Amazon and another with a Trooper. Can I invite them along?

:?: Whats a FINGET? :?:

Sorry forgot to post since, thankfully a little busy at work.

YES, 'm going to Wickla. Don't know how many of us yet so not sure about accomodation. But I'll be there!

I was going to bring BettyBlue too but its a hell of a tow with a trailer and if the kids are with me it would make for too long a day for them.

Mike

Re: Wicklow Event

Hi Mick

I think your best road for you
Is Straight across the Country
Onto the M50 and head for Bray then wicklow town then to Arklow town turning right towards the Wicklow mointains Avoca and Woddenbridge
Then Aughrim
I think around an hour from when you hit the M50
Hope this helps

Re: Wicklow Event

Hi All on a more sombre note-: Colin Wightman who hosted the GWOA twice at Spa has been confirmed as suffering from "Hodgkins Lymphoma" cancer of the Lymph Glands and has started a course of Kemo' this week. I am sure everyone will join me in wishing him well over the next few months with positive results.... The venue can be made available for another meet if required...

Re: Wicklow Event

Best wishes to Colin and family, hopefully he will make a steady recovery from his illness.

Can't see the Wicklow link for up loading the pics so I put them in under Irish G wagens and then was told I had reached my upload limit.
Help someone as I have about 30 enjoyable pics.

Regards,

Mike

PS Left the site at 6pm and got home about a little after 11pm complete with very tired kids.

Re: Wicklow Event

Thanks for organising a great event Chris...and what a venue!!

Only snag was my lack of a "G"!! Still the Touareg got proper muddy for once!!

Great to meet the Southern G owners + experience 1st hand their engineering skills with some great examples of the Marque.... Still - at 1250 Euros for a Tax Disc, I'll stay in the Black North a while longer!!

Cheers + Thanks again

p.s. guys and girls...take a look thru the photos, some great snaps...and you'll get to see a rather neat Sprinter engine installation....one of 3 there that day. Mmmmm sprinter into pickup?? :)

Re: Wicklow Event

In answer to your very pertinant question Mr. Perfect, we have been led to believe from his very best friends that he was away in Germany chasing some young frauline.

These projects of his might not be getting finished for another while. He may end up doing the 3 peaks this year in that UTE of his.

Hope he is having fun!

Regards,

Mike
