A friend has a disco and need a new tyre. It has synchrones on at the moment. I understand that these have been replaced by latitudes. Any views on these or what I should get if the synchrones are unavailable?

Re: Synchrones

I was told latitudes would be a tad quieter than the wranglers I was considering but, in a 460, I didn't think that would be the overriding sound! I went for Wranglers and they're fine and I'm guessing a good bit cheaper.

Re: Synchrones

Hi Dan,

The Michelin Latitude Cross would be the most direct replacement for the synchrone in terms of pattern. BUT, whereas the synchrone was a H speed rated tyre the CROSS is for the most part a T rated tyre going by those released so far. The Cross is also cheaper than the Latitude Tour(H,V speed rated) which is more of a road orientated tyre.

That doesn't make much difference over here (Ireland) but may cause some issues with your MOT system I am genuinely not sure.

Can't tell you much about them yet until we get some feedback and a chance to try them out ourselves.

Regards,

Mike
