hi there, long time i know but i havent forgot you guys, just been really busy..now settled in and really enjoying life here in north cyprus [26 degrees today :) ]

just let all those who knew about ruby's problems,i can finally say that the old beast is almost back to its former glory......its been a long haul and i have learnt a few more things in lifes learning curve :( the cold start problem was sorted out by my local mechanic who now wants to buy a G :P ..... a new exhaust was fabricated by a brilliant rad/exhaust centre in nicosia. all for a total sum of £160 :P things are really looking up again.

as for my cabrio.....wait for the pics....!!

- w210 300td going in this weekend, together with oil cooler,intercooler,aircon,463 type rad and resevoir. :D
-2" orc bodylift installed.
-2" orc springs installed.
-305 60 18 stt's fitted onto matt black oe G alloys inc spare wheel ,looks and performs awesomely
- all wheel bearings, hub seals, brake and clutch master cylinder replaced.
-new shocks coming soon.
-roof rack on the agenda.
-hi lift jack and winch are also on the agenda.

as you can see guys,i am back

pictures to follow soon. my personal issues are also being dealt with soon and i promise not to mention anymore about it here.

[ps, the offroad scene is growing at a great rate here in the north and cabrio will be enhanced by the mods mentioned. i have attended a few events here and my cabrio did well. on a recent event however, ruby was way above the crowd  unbelievable how a standard 463 to so capable and yet refined in standard form. not many G's attend our events here and anyone seeing my G's in action are gob smacked !!]

rgds hus.

tom, comparing me to THE detailing man,is a compliment. i watch mr dalton's vid's quite often and pic up lots of tips. as for washing in the sun, thats probably not intense heat, plus the fact that i am sure he can work under direct sunlight as long as the bodywork doesnt get too hot.

Re: A warm hello to all my friends....

glad to be back :P

thanks for the compliment  really missed speaking to most of you guys.

prwales, the alloys were on ruby, courtesy of the previous owner. i think thye are off the 03 model G class. definatelt original G alloys. [7.5x18].

btw, the guy in the second picture is no merc expert but a generally alert mechanic . he adjusted my cold start and idle problem in 2 hours. he was  at how it was set !! it was managing 200 miles on a full tank

it returned 330 miles this week :P

how can i not be positive

Re: A warm hello to all my friends....

hi peter. the 617a is a good engine alright...

but i have a feeling that the w210 300 td is gonna fly once its intercooled too  i have had the electronic pump removed and a mechanical pump re-calibrated and serviced to run efficiently on the 300td. i hope to have the cabrio running this week 8)

could be right about the oversized tires, but i do have a set of 235 85 16 stt's on attiks waiting in the garage :P
