My 280GE W460 is having its MoT this morning and they have discovered a fuel leak at the back by the fuel filter, they say that there are two canisters? Are there two filters? Does anyone have the part numbers?

Thanks,

James

One filter.. One accumulator often the connecting rubber hoses decay causing leaks... suggest you inspect hoses before condemning the components....

Re: HEEEELLLP!!!

Hi James I have one "as removed" at 10.000 miles BOSCH part number 0438170004 please confirm P/N acceptable its yours for GBP 100 including postage...no point in trying to post it before the holidays..very unusual for this item to leak unless corroded from being covered in mud or dinged..you might try a Bosch main dealer tomorrow ..they may have one "on the shelf" .....

Re: HEEEELLLP!!!

Hi James the part number is on the end with the single pipe.I have seen corrosion/leaking around the nuts but this can be cleaned and resealed....I would have thought that you must be experiencing a very "slow to start" problem and a noisy fuel pump if the leak is from a hole in the body.....

Re: HEEEELLLP!!!

hello Fixwin - apologies for not replying sooner its been difficult to get continuity with the garage over easter. I have contacted my local Bosch dealer and after many conversations and diversions (it's discontinued then it's not discontinued) and given many different descriptions (pressure tank fuel supply) I believe that my local dealer has one for £94, just waiting for a call to confirm. Once again thanks for your help.

James
