Newbie looking for help, be patient...!
Hi everybody,
I have some offroad experience (Land Cruiser and CJ5), but I'm completely new to G class.
Since I am now considering the purchase of a used G, while browsing around I found this forum and I'm now wondering if anyone would be so kind to give me hints, suggestions, pros and cons, anything really worth considering before purchasing a G.
I'm particularly interested in critical parts to check when evaluating a used (and rather old) model.
The one I'm looking at right now is a 1992 300GE with automatic gearbox, if that helps.

Hi the service history supporting invoices. Mot's. will give you the technical and mileage data. number of owners.and all over appearance will need to be considered..if you post the Vin / chassis number here a copy of the factory build specification will tell you what it was like when new....without a good history in today's economic climate GBP 5000 "upwards on merit" would be a good place to start...GWOA members often have information on individual vehicles.post the details and see if anyone knows it......
