I managed to get the G300 and Turbo Dielsel badges off with some hard pulling and dental floss (ingenious I know  ) but now there is a base residue that I cant remove even with a little elbow grease and white spirit...
Any ideas?!

Or hairdryer, if you don't want to damage the paint.

Brake cleaner or use with CARE, acetone. Do try a sample patch some where un seen on effects on paintwork. I have never tried acetone on these mordern water soluble paint work.

Thanks guys....is brake cleaner also "approach with care"? paint wise? I live in a flat so getting a hairdryer to the car is impossible!

heating oil and a sponge ..slow but effective and no damage to the lacquer.
