Hi All,

Any one know the cost of parts to have the arches to be fitted? Bought G55 wheels and rims...and now sticking out a bit ...so looking to have them appropriately covered! Do the bumpers need extending also if you go down this route?

Thanks,

Ferdi

hi ferdi,

i've been thinking about getting the G55 rims as well.
if you have some spare time, could you take a quick pic to show how much did they stick out?
i'm very curious to see what they look like

thx

Hi Ferdi www.orc.de they have sets that stick out from 8" to 10" have a look.

or Mercedes ones are around £2000 + from when I made enquiries last year, was going to do the same thing but gave up at the end.

Gooch - where about are you going to be?

Mr. Sav,

Here are two photos that I found of a SWB and a Cabrio with G55 AMG rims.

I think the g55 arches look daft, i'd keep with original, my Mayr had them on a 460 with original arches and it looked nuts

I suppose they come in handy for putting cups of coffee on, they could also double as a handy cutting board when camping

lol - except for the slope. besides i thought that's what the bonnet was for, plus its heated so it keeps your food/drink warm.

i think Gooch was horrified by the scratches on my G.

No I wasn't, It's been off road plenty of times - you have to expect these things when going through the ruff terrain I suppose......

Did you enjoy your quick drink? :D

Re: G55 Wheel Arches/Bumpers Question?

Damn ! I thought i could save money the ORC option but looks they are not just like the g55 ones..see below from ORC response

"Hi Ferdi
I don´t have more pictures of the fender flares 317944. This one is not similar like the G 55, because the G 55 is only wider on the top of the tire, but reduce to the end to the side steps or to the other end under the lights.

The fender flares 317944 are on the top and on the bottom ends same wide (at the front 11 cm and at the rear 10 cm).

The delivery time is about 4 weeks after ordering."

doesn't look too bad, imo

Hi all,

Just in the midst of getting quote from Klasse of Fulham for

G55 Wheel arches
Read Mud Flaps (mine ripped off)
Colour Coded spray of Front and rear bumpers

ie everything Gooch said I needed to be as cool as his him and his G ;)

of course, we will see on price and priorities ;)
