Please if anybody can help my G has developed a strange electrical fault has lost power to radio, electric windows both, sunroof checked fuses all seem ok and those consumers are not even on the same fuse?? the really odd thing is that as you know with mercs of this age the it will let you open or close the electric windows with the key out and the door (either) open and this function still operates the windows?? I have been opening the door to close the windoiws at 50 mph because I get too cold with the window down  Any help much appreciated..... on the up side just bought a U1300L Unimog so will have plenty of questions about air brakes and pressurised fording transmissions if anybody knows about such things.

have you noticed the lights dimming as well because if you have this is a general power loss and will either be your battery or your alternator.

Battery is nearly new didn't check the alternator voltage lately though all other things are working fine though lights, windscreen wipers, washers, electric mirrors so just lost one chunk of circuit somehow?

The window operating/ door opened facility is on a separate circuit to the normal circuit. That ,obviously, hasn't been affected. You need to get into the fuse board upper area and check the circuits

Don't just look at the fuse box, remove the 2 black Philips screws and look behind it, might be surprised by what you find :)

Cheers boys will have a look and see whats what, guessed to start there wasn't sure if anyone had experienced the same faults at once as most mercs break in unison... now thats true quality when even the quirks are consistent.
