Hi all.

About to (finally) replace the cracked exhausf manifold on 280GE. Original one has pipe/fitting for EGR but 2nd hand replacement hasn't. I recall some advice on here about it being OK to blank off EGR system but I can't find the posts now. Can someone point me at the posts / topic or repeat the advice / instructions??

Ta.

Chris

Re: EGR valve

Hi as long as you seal the vacuum side of the system the engine will idle and run well...

Re: EGR valve

If you had the EGR system before then you will also need to seal off the pipe from the valve to the fuel meter head, it connects underneath with 2 M6 bolts and the tidiest way is to take the pipe off altogether and make up a blanking plate for under the metering head .
