Re: Turbo G Wagon

on picture one the pipes on rh side must be oil pipes one goes to oil pump filter area , other returns to sump .the thing on left is a vacuum pipe which proberbally went to bit on turbo which comes up near rockwer cover ive disconnected mine there arnt any other bits to it apart from a thin pipe which runs to top of fuel pump from air manifold at bulkhead wot tells it to pump more fuel when it gets spinning ..i cant tell what other bit is .i can take some pictutes if you are still stuck but am going to be busy most of weekend, how come engine dint have turbo on it to start with and wots it out of

Re: Turbo G Wagon

Hi John,
Welcome to the GWOA and I see we are pretty much neighbours :D

Sorry can’t help with the turbo question but you may wish to try http://pointedthree.com/disc/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=57&setcookie=1&Di...

There are a few posters on there who know the 617 engine and turbo conversions inside out

Are you going to use the G for trialing? I’ve had a few goes at Muddy Millers trials using the LWB 280 (not exactly much use due to not being able to turn through the gates

Re: Turbo G Wagon

Hi Russ yes i will be trialing it and i was once a Muddy Miller myself when i had an old Lada Riva. I will join again once i have my G up and running, hence the questions about the turbo as that is all that is holding me back really. I myself live in Weston Rhyn so will look forward to meeting you.
Cheers for the info i will check it out
