Just wanted to say big thankyou to Marty for driving to meet us in Dublin on Saturday with Dez. It all worked out really well with flights and ferries and we had a lovely drive back down through Wales until we discovered we'd gone half an hour North up the A470 instead of South (I think it happened whilst trying to remember the 3rd verse of 'American Pie'!). It was dark by then so we didn't even get to take in the scenery. Still, Dez is now in Somerset and - apart from a few teething troubles - it's great to be back in G ownership. There's a few pics in my gallery if anyone's interested.

I'm also extrememly grateful to Fixwin for all his helpful advice.

Tom

Thanks Tom,

Thats very kind of you to post.

Best of luck with "DEZ"!! She's one of the best of the last 460's out there.

Cheers for all the replies Peter. I'm hoping to do a bit more investigation this weekend (whilst resisting the temptation to go and chop it in for a 463!). Tom

You need a 463 - don't fight it, embrace it!

Re: Dez the 280

We'll give Dez a chance. Had a wobbly drive back from Swanage on Sunday though. Good job it was a) Sunday, b) late and c) there are no garages with 463's for sale enroute anyway or in all of the southwest I expect. Otherwise Dez might have been traded! We're friends again now though.
