OEM Replacement Front Window : Paranoia?

ok...now I know I may be considered overly paranoid about this one but finally I got Autoglass to source and fit what I "beleive" to be OEM.

I have a receipt with blackout costs from Merc Birmingham. The glass has has a trapezoid shape black outed area made up of lots of smallish dots around the edges...

BUT! I just drove by a G55 and when I compared them mine was about half the height of his..ie when looking at it dead one..his completely covers his rear view...and mine is fully exposed ie only covers space from top of rear view to top of window. He did have a late model G with some strange device that had a sensor that was attached to the rear view and had a space took look out from the blacked trapezoid.

Am i making any sense? :? of did older Gs like mine have different, smaller shaped ones?

I went through so much hassle with auto glass I am just convinced I got screwed!
