STEERING WHEEL - HELP!

Hello everyone,

I've read through the various posting on steering wheels... and still havent come to a certain conclusion. Does anyone know if a steering wheel off an S Class (w220 - previous body shape to current) will fit on my 1993 463?

I know the w210 and w211 wheels (E Class) will fit, but I happen to have access to an S Class wheel

Having once asked the same question as I too wanted a new wheel, I was told by Merc Parts that the following wheels fit my '96 463:

Steering Wheel Codes:
A140 ( S class 91-98 )
A210 ( E class 97-02 )

Well, the installation went well... sort of. The steering wheel from the w220 S-class (or also the w215 CL-class) fits perfectly into my 463. Splines line up perfectly, clearance is excellent... looks quite nice, actually.

The only problem is... the horn ring doesn't seem to be the same, so for the time being I am rolling with no horn. Aside from the obvious MOT issue and other issues pertaining to safety, having no horn when everything else is so class is obviously bush league. :)

Any ideas? Does anybody know what my options are? I don't want to install a separate switch into the dash to operate the horn.

I also don't want to fork out the cash for a 210 or 124 wheel... aside from my preference with regards to looks, the wheel I've installed is a new brabus wheel that cost me less than a new airbag (meaning, it ended up being the cheapest option for me, too)!

That would make it the first early 463 with a W220 wheel I've heard of here...photos please! Sorry not much help on the technical side, the wheels hubs changed between airbag/non-airbag.
