hi all,
as some of you may know I'M involved with a 4x4 club in Ireland called leinster 4x4 and we have a 1100 acre forest leased from coillte.
this forest was originally used for by a off road driving company so there are miles of interesting man made trails through the woods suitable for all types of 4x4, from a g55 to a extreme off roadroader .

the woods is located in south wicklow, or about a 40min drive from Dublin so if anyone is interested in some off road driving from mild to wild you know where to come, threes usually a group heading out most Sundays, and I am in the process of organising a punch hunt in the coming weeks.

any more info is available here:

hi finn, some of us meet at a local hotel from breakfast at 9:30 while others go straight to the woods for 10:30,its upto you when you want to leave, last Sunday I didn't get out of the forest till after 8pm, we took a right turn down the wrong track!! as usually we wouldnt be out in the dark! was fun though, till the battery died in the "golf kart" I think it was winching with all those roll cage mounted lights on!

I knew that would come back to haunt me!! to be honest the Massey just pulled the tree down that was stuck between the step and front wheel on the mogg, then it drove out!! and the G also drove out when some juice was put in the tank!! so just for the record the massey didn't pull ether out!!

Re: off roading in Ireland.

When my new toy is on the road I am going to come visiting.

Might be an ideal venue for the next G wagen club meet in early summer maybe as its a short run down for the northern boys to get there, apart from our rep that is . He might be better getting a ryanair flight and paying the baggage for that green machine of his it would be cheaper. hee,hee

Re: off roading in Ireland.

Hey Mick,

We could buy foneman's g wagen and cut it up beweeen us. :D We could make another trayback out of it. 8) We could cut the inside frame off the doors to lighten them. :) Throw out all the interior parts to a skip to reduce weight and fire risk. :D
He wouldn't recognise it in a few months time. We could call it the Green Meister, well Mr foneman any suggestions or are you still crying at the thoughts of it.

Now how desperate are you to sell the 280? bet you'd keep it rather than let it fall into our hands!! :( :(

Have a nice day! :D :D :D

Regards,

Mike
