I am thinking that I will need the eight bits at the bottom of the pic on the left (nos 32, 35, 47, 50, 53, 56, 59 and 62. Anyone know if this is correct and how much they cost?

i made the bits to replace the remains of the G behind the outer panel, its a awful design with loads of mud/moisture traps. i would cut the outer panel off and then decide on the parts required!

Re: Rear Quater replacement

Was doing exactly this job this weekend. I agree the design is flawed. After cutting the panels out I had about 5 pounds of rust and dirt on my shop floor that had been trapped.

32, 53 and 59 were heavily rusted. 56, 53 and 50 were serviceable with just light surface rust. This might be because of the "kidney" tank I have on the right side of the truck.

I'm going to fabricate 59 as its just a single bend. The other parts I ordered for under $100. Part 8 was also heavily rusted both on the visible parts, plus behind the panels.

I've posted an article about replacing the left hand side here:

It may or not be useful to you.

Cheers,

Michael
