Unwarranted assault on 460 this morning!

What happened?
Safe driving mate, important thing is you and everyone else is unhurt, cars are replaceable.
All the more reason for caution out there...I sometimes find the difflocks help keep traction on icy surfaces as long as you're going straight.
Well yes - cars are replaceable but I'm very attached to my G. Lots of good times and we can't afford to lose more 460's - who are the Arabs going to sell all their petrol to??!! :P
Hi Looking at the area of impact it probably whacked the oil cooler.bent steering rods might be more serious and any damage the nearside front axle radius arm where it attaches half way along the chassis.....always depressing to see a damaged G'...good news that no one was hurt ! shortened the Audi quite a bit as well.....
haha don't worry China and India will take care of that for the foreseable future, at least until fusion or water-fired generators are built ;)
You got quite an unusual bumper there (looking at your gallery) was it custom built?
Yes, bumper and sliders fabricated from stainless tube by a pal who builds stainless steel bowsers, tanks etc on the vehicles that service commercial aircraft. Looks like I'll be paying him another visit.....
Looks great (and certainly fit for purpose as we've seen) maybe other members might be interested in a small run...though the 460 is a rare breed...learnt how to drive manual in a 280 so can never forget them ;)

Idiot in the Audi thought the way to climb steep hill with left hand bend was to fire his car up at high speed. Obviously slid across on the bend and hit me at Police estimated speed c30mph.
My rad pushed back, steering rods bent, one wing bent, and lost all the oil - not sure how yet. Hope it's just a broken pipe. Audi went well under my front as you can see.
Got to wait for insurance assessment now but worried they might write off.
