Hi,
I have just finished sorting out the fuel starvation issue with one of my G's (it was the crud on the bottom of the sender unit) thanks to all the helpful diagnostic posts on this site and thought i would attempt to contribute a little also by posting a picture of how i emptied the fuel tank, In order to get the last dregs out of the tank i also tied some sponge to the bottom of the pumps tube before inserting it into the the tank and this drew the fuel from every corner using a capillary type action leaving the tank ready for flushing, I then used the same technique to remove the flushing medium.

The pump is the type used to empty 205 litre steel barrels, for those who didn't recognize it.

I hope this is of some use to someone and if not maybe it'll attract some interest from a humourous angle regarding putting a quip to the picture.

P.S.
If someone has suggested this before i apologise for duplicating it. Thanks once again for all the useful info on the site as well as the club in General. :D :D :D
