Here is a foto shot of me trying to overcome an obstacle, in the form of a very steep and slippery rocky wall. Are we doing all right here or not ?

Breakover angle

OK so far but I wouldn't let your wheels go over the top or you might wish your side steps were rock sliders.

Re: Quiz for the G wizzards.

Well back to the main topic here , I tried that wall many times. with different tyre pressures starting from 25 psi, 20 psi and 15 psi. Less than 15 psi I would not clear the rocks. All lockers on, my rear wheels reached half way of the wall and after that all four wheels started slipping. I am using 31x10.5 15 Yokohoma A/T 's. I believe with a M/T tyre specialised for Rock Crawling I could have easily cleared this wall. On the day, only a 1970's unimog with M/T tyres managed to climb it. But evryone watching agreed G could have done it with ease if only wearing the right shoes.

Shakir

I run my 230GE on Grizzly Claws at 265/75 R16 - see my phot album to see what it can do (with less engine power than yours).

Are you coming to the Salisbury Plain drive on Sunday ?

I am sure the crawlers would be fantastic even without trying them , cannot do salisbury it is a bit far for me :(

Sounds good. I have my eyes on a set of BFG Krawlers
Thats if I can get them down here.
PP and MV thanks for the input but there is not much you can do there in the momentum dep. As you can see Huss's brother tried it with a much higher rig and almost flipped over. My G not being that high could only approach that rock with caution and only if I had some good MT's would have easily climbed it.I will let you know when I am done with it. :)

Re: Quiz for the G wizzards.

selam shakir  i put this topic up on P3 and got a positve feedback from various members.

one good point came from harald , he stated using 4psi for the front tires and 10psi for the rears. he also states that the H2 making on the mb alloy mean that they hold the beads
