Unhappy Yokohama story
Almost a year ago I bought at considerable expense a set of four Yokohama Geolandars HT G038G 265/60 R18 110V, dated 2007. Just because MB recommended them. I had to order them and face a delivery time of 3 months. Lo and behold, BOTH REAR TYRES have now their treads distorted: They turn like an 8. It appears as if internal bracing is damaged. I tried to reseat the tyres on the rims to no effect. The tyres were used strictly for spirited road work (I have a set of 4 Attik 16" rims with proper off-road tyres for more adventurous outings). Note that my RL6 rims are perfectly true and I am scrupulous with tyre pressures. Discussing the matter with Yokohama-Greece I found them hopeless. This, at 8,000 kms. I am not at all happy. :evil: :evil: :evil:
