A day of Gs spotted in the past...

In the morning saw a grey G in Camden Passage near Angel Tube. Was in a rush so only so the tail end and didn't get to see whether LWB/SWB or 460/463.

Later in the day saw a grey LWB 460 driving around Islington with reg PAN *. Perhaps the same one... see this one around Upper Street quite a lot.

In the evening I was parked on Waterloo Bridge behind a matt green LWB 460 with brown leather seats. I believe this one might live in Nottinghill... as it looked vaguely familiar.

Finally driving to dinner with a friend near Euston Station and saw a beat-up LWB G300 TD being driven by some shaggy haired guy that looked like the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella. Followed me for quite sometime too... saw this one about a month ago in Hoxton too.

Thats because you don't get out enough! It's hard to go into central London and not see a G.

Ferdi has at least three within a 100m of where he lives.

now that we have a separate jokes section can I suggest that we have a separate trainspotters section as well.

This is in a separate trainspotters section and this section has existed since day one!

Gosh no - I think the Fairy Godmother is "stocking" me... everywhere I turn I see that bashed up Green G... kind of like watching a Stephen King movie.

Re: Yesterday was a G'day.

Sorry my mistake didn't know there was an anoraks section, not something that I've ever looked for, what I meant was that if these trainspotting missives were put straight into their peculiar corner without appearing on the front page I could avoid making the mistake of opening them. I would admit that a few have real pathos, perhaps these should go in the comedy section.

Any new post appears on the front page - doesn't matter what its about. It is up to you whether or not to open a post and read it.

The whole point of this section is to see if members have accidentally crossed pathes or not.

As to how seeing a G can evoke pity and what that has to do with being a joke I don't understand But if you browse buy latest post you immediately see what section a post is in and then decide for yourself whether to open it or not and thus save the rest of us the sarcastic comments.

Re: Yesterday was a G'day.

the so called jokes don't appear on the front page anymore I was suggesting the same for the folks that post details of g-wagens that they have seen, maybe its just me but I find them rather sad.

Yes, it's surely just you, so why don't you just leave us genuine enthusiast alone and go get a life?

This forum was a wonderful place to be until you appeared. Get lost.

If it's the same one it is normally parked in Lauderdale Road W9 and I seem to recall it's a 300.

I at first thought this spotting was a bit sad too but can now see the reasoning behind it.With the amount of stalking......err... spotting Maxwell does I now keep an eye on Crimewatch ect, just in case I see him and can help clear up the Police statistics. If there happens to be a reward for info it would be rude to refuse it

Fair enough. But that specimen is the only one who has made me consider whether or not to belong to this contingent in the ten years I have been around.

As for my latin temperament you can tell him that I have been working for multinational, multicultural companies for the last 21 years, managing people from the world over. And I generally have trouble only with the odd arrogant specimen who has nothing better to do than provoke fellow human beings.

Nuff said.

Mortinson, you need to ask Santa for a sense of humour, I have never come across anyone in such desperate need of one.

And you'd better learn forum etiquette before daring to write the kind of stuff you do. All I ask you in the meantime is to refrain from making any comments in the future about me. I shall try to do likewise if you manage to do so, but somehow I doubt it.

Not around bond street - but am around Islington.

Don't forget to pay your congestion charge...
