MOT farce
Here's a laugh. The diesel G failed the MOT a few weeks back due to worn tyres. It took me a few weeks to sort out new ones 'cause the size was a bit rare now. Anyway, the 2w time limit expired, thus a complete retest was required. My garage certainly weren't going to charge me for a retest as I am a regular and give them all my work. However, when I brought it back they had to log on to the MOT website and leave the computor logged on for 3/4 hour to demonstrate that a complete retest had in fact taken place
Don't you love it
Hi better than that 2 G' owners I am aware of went for MOT ..both failed for rusty brake pipes.both G's were resubmitted with no work perfomed but each had a note stating that the pipes were hydraulic lines servicing the difflocks. not an MOT failure item....both passed and now the owners are seeking refunds and one is aeeking additional money for loss of income.....no doubt it will be a lengthly process...
when ever i mot anything we also have to kill time as the place i go to still gives a fairly county service and he's finnished looking at vechile after 10 minutes or so ,so we stand about talking about the good old days ,which is basicly what we used to do only now its official
The wifes van went through, Sat past, no prep work needed well except a wash  .
And unlike you English chancers this is a PROPER test
Very civil young man I got
( PS Helen, why no women working at the test centres?)
He was very interested in the vehicle, spent ages looking at the underside and commented
"They are build like a wee truck underneath".
0.00 %age diff on the front brakes!!
Fingers crossed the LWB is up tonight
A few bits to sort yet
Like the indicators are fine as long as the light are not on at the same time
Gotta remember, gotta remember
Please read your PM
Peter thanks
problem sorted
Ps
Anyone beat 97% difference on the parking brake?
He tried her three times & finally got a good result
Otherwise a clean sheet and a PASS
Again very civil helpful staff, and again genuinely interested in the vehicle, I suppose a change is as good as a rest.
