Anyone had this problem????
G400 cdi -v8
Hi Gooch you obviously have a power drain somewhere..tedious job to find out which system is doing it. firstly ...with a fully charged battery everything OFF doors shut bonnet open..remove negative terminal from battery and gently touch the terminal against the battery negative post ..if you get any sort of spark at all and are sure that you have all systems inactive that at least proves something is draining the battery.....go to the main fuse panel and with the battery connected remove and replace each fuse in turn as you replace gently touch the fuse without pushing it home...ant spark will indaicate that that circuit has a draw on it..then check what services are on that circuit .disconnect each service in turn until you have no spark ..now you have found the faulty component ...last one I did took 5 hours to source and GBP 60 to eliminate .......
Have you had any wiring done lately or fitted any new electrical stuff.
you can put a test light between the terminal and lead or even better would be an amp meter so see how much of a drain there is then as fixwin says is a slow job pulling out all the fuses one by one to see where the drain is..
Good luck.
Gooch, check your PMs.
is it possible that the alternator went bad?
the last time this happened to me, i had to replace both the battery and the alternator. either the battery shorted and caused damage to the alternator or the other way around i supposed.

I'm on the case again with a new battery installed two minutes ago, i'll do all the fuse checks and have a meter reading check done asap. thanks everyone for the support
