What happens when you are in the middle of a three car shunt at 30MPH?
Only me in the car, and apart from potential whiplash seem OK - off to Stoke Mand. to get checked out
This is the G Wagen;
Well I would presume you had got stopped without contact and the Disco shunted you forward thus causing the collision.

Lol the damage on the Disco is a bit comical, all that plastic and aluminium (or is it steel) bonnet...I hope you have your headrests adjusted correctly, as whiplash injuries can surface after some time even in low-speed collisions.
Good to see not much damage done to the G, though the bodyshop should be able to tell once the bumper is off. If the door hasn't been bent I'm guessing at least 1500 for the rear end work (on insurance). You'll also get a front-end respray I think...can't harm an 8 year old G!

In defense of the landrover you could say the crumple zone has done its job well, under hard braking the nose pulls down therefore missing your g‘s body work . Hope you are ok although you won’t discover the full extent of any injuries until you speak to your claims assessor :shock:

that rear tow bar on a G is worth its weight in gold.

So how do you prove that the disco rear ending you caused you to move forward? Surely the insurance co will blame you for hittinh to toyota?
I can't believe the damage to the disco. What is your front end like?
You can get the (new) bumpers painted the same colour as the body now :)

Amazing. Similar thing happened to me a few weeks back. Got rear ended by a 2004 BMW 3series conv. His car was more or less written off and mine only needs a bumper! Looks like my tow bar ripped his front in two.
Luckily no one was injured.
As that's an official kill you can stick a pic of a Landy just underneath your door mirror,like the WW11 fighter aces did :wink: My 280 sports a similar badge of honour having killed a Peugeot but only suffering a broken foglight and a dented bumper :D

Some more pictures of the front damage. Could not get any of the Toyota as she buggered off. Visit to hospital was rather painful - 5 hrs wait in A&E, but they confirmed no fracture, just whiplash.
Spoken with the insurance - now a case of wait and see. Car still drives well. Interesting that the police turned up in a Disco and when rather white and palid when they say the front of the disco and then the back of my car!
oh well - Spider1V lives to fight another day!

It's sad seeing damaged G's..though the damage doesn't look bad at all up front...
I presume you will get a new rear bumper under insurance. Any chance of your old one? Looks in a better state than mine!

Close one Spider, I think if all OK with your neck you'll have gotten away light.
My Mrs drives a disco 2 same as that one, must show her your pics. Don't think she will be 'appy!

Thanks - yeah it scared a few of my mate who have Disco's! (made me feel 'ha!' :lol: )
Well apart from lower back and neck - am going through some physio at the mo. there we rather superficial damage to the G in retrospect. Just having a problem getting some of the parts - being fixed by authorised MB workshop not main dealer.
And like Ireland the person at the back gets to foot the bill! - Just a case of waiting through for all the bits and pieces to sort out.

You presume correct! Did not manage to get a photo of the Toyota, but I pushed her bumper out of place and shoved her about 5 foot (after leaving a 5 foot gap!)
Suddenly realised I was the only bloke sandwiched between two women! Shame it was not like my fantasies!
