does the idle improve when the engine is hot? your symptoms are pointing to the cold start enrichment system.the cold start regulator is prone to failure but it could also be the temp sender on the cylinder head or related wiring.if the engine runs smooth when hot give me the rpm guage reading and we will go on from there......the rpm range is... from cold 1200rpm for 2 minutes dropping to 600/700rpm at idle...hot.... 1200rpm for 10 seconds dropping to 600/700rpm at idle.....hot... the engine should not vibrate or judder and the exhaust sound should be even ......
