Hello Spanner Anna here, still new to this fantastic website (3 days member) but learning very quickly. Want i would like to know is does anyone have a genuine Merc Manuel for my 250 GD Lhd SWB or does anyone know if any available/can/where to get one from.
NEXT: have just seen in the members area Maintanace Manuel which i can down load but there are so many sections and the first one i downloaded was 48 pages ! with loads more to down load. Am i doing something wrong ?
NEXT: I have a WIS CD which i got off ebay and to be honest its a pain, what happened to good old fashioned hardback and clear sleeves to keep it clean ! So does anyone then have a CD of the Maintance Manuel that is in the members download area ? or know if available/where to get one from.
NEXT: Genuine handbook wanted for my 250 GD W460 1989 (Dissapeard when i went and got her registered)
NEXT: Touch up stick paint code 7728 Moevengrau Metallic according to the great Spaniard Mortinson (thank you x) been also told the colour is impala ? which is right ?
NEXT: Drivers arm rest (see photo) wanted
NEXT: Towbar original with electrics if possiable.

Thats it, hope you like the photos love Spanner Anna the girl mechanic that can tighten any nuts ! Will be posting a photo or two of me and my G in oily overalls and showing my pussy ! next week, got to have some fun and laughter in sunny Bulgaria

Re: Help Maintance Manuel WANTED For my 250 GD

Definitely, the code for 7728 is Mövengrau (Moevengrau):

The problem is that the colour of your G looks to me more like Impala Metallic Clearcoat 441/8441 then the Movengrau (see link: http://www.modellparadies.com/Modellbau-Zubehoer/Farben-Lacke/Humbrol/Hu...

Furthermore: according to the Glasurit website, that colour was discontinued in 1980, well before your g was made.

If I were you, I would go straight into your friendly local Mercedes dealership and order the touch-up paint stick directly from them with your VIN number. It will be slightly more expensive than alternative sources but we're talking very little money anyway.

As for the rest of your questions:

Be patient with the maintenance manual. It's big just because it is thorough! And in any event it is easier/cheaper to download it than have somebody to make a copy and mail it to you.

WIS started to replace all MB paper manuals as from 1994. The good news is that your G mas made before so that there are full workshop paper manuals (more than 2,000 papes) for your G.

The user's manual is more difficult to locate, because yours is the one printed from 1987 (specific to the 250 GD) and there aren't that many. Specially because the 250GD was never made in RHD and thus never offered in the UK so I bet that they never produced a manual in English.

If you don't mind it being in German and not totally applicable, you can download the one for the W460 240GD/300GD from here:

http://www.pruebas.pieldetoro.net/web/MERCEDES/detalle.php?MANUAL=20

As for the rest, your best bet is German Ebay.

Re: Help Maintance Manuel WANTED For my 250 GD

Mortinson, are you the man or what, i found the colour code when i got onto the Russian website for datacode, entered my VIN: WDB46033717064264 and it came back with paint code 7728 unknown. so really dont know what is correct, as you are saying it has been discontinued since 1980 ! Strange, she is all original and never had any paint or bodywork done, so the colour is original. So what do you think, your the man on this.
Have been downloading all of the Maintance Manuels for the last hour and now have a lovely binder folder from Mercedes to put them in. Result on that.
Now going to look at the website you have supplied for the German handbook, one of my staff is a translator who will be able to translate the handbook for me and produce a new one for me, dont you just love people that are helpfull, just like you, so a big thank you from the girl that can tighten any nut Lol Spanner Anna x
