I am sure I am not the only one who loves to be alone in my vehicle, music up loud and just drive............................
Probably singing as well, but that might be just me
What's your choice of music to drive to :?:

Well a few years ago I would have been blasting Hotel California by the Eagles - still a great album. 8)
Or something by Simple minds, Talking Heads - so many can't list them all :!:
But I try to be current and my favourite album for ages has just got to be 'Only by Night' - Kings of Leon 8) 8)

Re: Music to drive your G to........................

I like Katie Melua... In fact I have just gone to her concert in nottingham earlier this evening!

Some Soviet war time music as well... It will definitely make people drive faster by listening to March of Stalin's Air Force and March of the Defenders of Moscow... NOT JOKING!!

http://download.sovmusic.ru/m/marshair.mp3 (air force)
http://download.sovmusic.ru/m/marshms2.mp3 (moscow)

and my personal favorite... Proshaniye Slavyanki
http://download.sovmusic.ru/m/slavank2.mp3

The Ukrainians still play Proshaniye Slavyanki when the trains leave the stations when I went there last year!

Wot he said, but add 2 more cylinders and some base!

But some Deep Purple - Live in Japan, Back in Black AC/DC, Euphoria and a bit of ABBA

Spider1V - No one like Heavy Metal?

God help us all
women driving while listening to the radio
I presume this while you also apply nail polish and make hands on phone calls,
I will however give you credit for not smoking

Thanks for the credit for being a non-smoker, I however would argue the other things - my only vice is singing whilst driving - its great for driving the kids mad.

The BIGGEST distraction whilst driving is fighting children and husbands dictating how to drive. Very loud music sorts both of those problems!
Spider,
As for heavy metal, yep do love it but don't often buy it (have loads on vinyl from an ealier era)
Going to see 'Hot Leg' tonight - Justin Hawkins new band (yes him from the Darkness) Could be good :D could be awful :( - will be FUN :!:

No CD player in the G so I am stuck in the 80's with all my old cassettes in the door pockets, but makes a change from pounding Techno in the AMG I suppose :D

There is another official G cd which you can get from MB that i posted about earlier. But even though it shows a picture of a G - the cd cover text notes that it is the new GL.

If you watch the BRILLIANT Grand Prix yesterday you may have noticed that they used the Kings of Leon track 'sex on fire' on the ITV coverage. As this was my choice of music to drive to could this explain my recent speeding ticket :?:

My 8 going on 18 year old would prefer to kiss a girl any day - so much better than yucky boys, they have germs apparently :!: Her 3 brothers have put her off boys :!:

She sings the song, and many others that make me cringe - Britney comes to mind.Actually so many bands sing about stuff you don't want your kids to sing about I am surprised we allow the radio :!: BUT shes currently into Hannah Montana / Miley Sirus - a bit more wholesome as shes from the Disney stable.

I remember my mum getting upset when I bought 'you sexy thing' by Hot Chocolate :P

Yer I know, I hate Disney too. But the lyrics aren't so explicit as say the Artic Monkeys, Kings Of Leon, Eminem - all of whom I have heard being sung by children - not good. I ran a celebration of childrens talent thingy recently - great singers, but have you ever heard a 10 year old boy singing James Blunt, something like - 'I miss your smell........................I'll be the father of your child....................... etc etc.'

I have been to Disneyland - worried we were being Brainwashed the whole time. I also don't like the staff that hang around outside the store, trying to entice you in like some weird cult :!: :!:
