Why? Your G would be in it's element - doing what it was made to do.

Hell Yeah!!
Don't take it to Merc next time....
where shall i take it? would local garages be trustable?
just take it to a someone skilled in mercs. it is the same engine as in the saloons.
can't help you with a garage in your area but i'm sure others probably can and if not here then on a general mb forum.

And I'm still looking....
We currently have a fab mechanic but he is inclined to move out of our area and then appear back 5 years later (which he has just done :) ). i also know another one that genuinely loves G's.
Prior to this I used a small local 'friendly' garage that the manager one day greeted me with 'why don't you stop buying these heaps of shit (OLD Mercs) and get a decent car!' - I haven't been back.
So like I have already said - 'If you find one hold on to him tight!' :)
I know one... a guy in cirencester is an absolute genius... such a shame that I don't live in that area anymore!!
There bloody taxis in greece!
... and in France, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Belgium, The Netherlands, Luxembourg, Austria, Switzerland, etc, etc, etc.....
I had an excellent mechanic while I lived in the UK. Well, he wasn't only a mechanic, he had a degree in mechanical engineering and designed, built and fitted parts for Land Rovers. I would turn up with a problem, he'd fix it in 20 minutes while I had a cup of tea and when asked how much did I owe him he'd say.... give us a fiver  (the first time I though I was paying only for the cuppa)
The main problem was that he was utterly unreliable. You'd agree to bring the G for him to fix it and it would sit there literally for weeks and he wouldn't touch it, take the phone or return calls or e-mails. He wouldn't even attend to the bell rings at the gate of his premises, so more than once I had to jump over the fence.... to be faced by one of his many dogs  Yes, now I laugh but back then it was desperate 'cause I had no replacement for the G.....
The thing is that he was extremely economical. He worked wonderfully but couldn't care less about money: he'd literally spend all day with your G and charge you like 200 quid labour..... that's whay I always came back!
sounds wonderful!! better make some friends in the engineering department!
then get one of these..went laning and no trouble at all
hahahahaha, I cannot imagine driving one of those myself!
Hey the only reason that Delicatessen did so well was due to the person behind the wheel....

Jesus, you will be creaming over it mate, lots of different stuff in the next g wizz, different ideas this time round, to include accesories, camping trailers instead of just g wagens , there's no m class in it so don't panick! half way through now , spent 4 hrs last night, actually Me and mark are looking for a write up on the Graz visit, fancy putting pen to paper ?
