bad economy
I revisited the school i used to go to a few days ago, and noticed many of the nice cars driven by the rich parents are no longer there... that's quite upsetting really :(
the questions are:
1. do you think our G society will be affected by this?
2. would that be more and more relatively cheap Gs for sale in the near future?
there already are more and more cheaper Gs for sale
Looking at the used car market and especialy 4x4's, G wagens dont seem to have been hit as hard as others. I think the market is much more insuler and there are a lot more private sales. The dealers that sell G's seem very laid back, with one that i spoke to having a sale or return car in stock for eighteen months. There are also no guides as to the values, ie Glass's guide and Cap guide don't book G wagens. When you think that you can get a 03 reg ML 270 with full spec for around 8,000 pounds compared to a fifteen year old G for arond the same price. But the argument would be how much will the ML be worth in another ten years.

I found when I was at boarding school, in hard times, most parents tended to bring out the 'nannies' car, as to not offend those who were finding it tough
1. I think this one will affect ALL people
