Is there a manual means to close the window if there's a problem with the motor or wiring?

I have checked the switch (by swapping it) and wiring (visually) and can see no fault so i'm assuming it's the motor. Until I get a new one I'd like to close it so I can use the car.

BTW anybody know what the tube is that comes from what I assume is the motor and is just clipped on the inside of the door with an open end?

Thank you, David

Got it. Read some of the older posts and the answer was there. Yes, I know, should have done it first.

Now I have to try to find those fiddly door trim fixing bungs which seems to have shrunk and don't grip the door frame anymore. Also, those trim coloured fuse cover and trim fittings. My G's interior is biege and black substitutes will look awful.

trim and panel attachment grommets are readily available from MB ..quote your vin/chassis number and they will identify the parts required....................

Yes, I was planning for that. I have had to use some non-matching screws at the moment and it really annoys me.

Thank you for taking the trouble to help.

I rarely look at the tech help section as I don't use the car a lot and it rarely gives trouble but it's very handy when needed.
