I bought one from Bosch a few years ago for £150. L and R are handed . Are you certain that it is the motor which is shot and not another part of the system?

Thanks for the pic and info above. I'm not 100% sure but a local garage stated it was the motor so thats really all I have to go on. Do yo know a way of testing it?

Cheers

Basic electrical fault chasing. Test the motor plug to see whether there is power there when the switch is pressed. You will need to remove the door panel for that.
Check the switch itself. Check the switch plug for power.

Check the fuse first

You may well find that the spiral drive is rusty along the bottom section where it gets wet if the door drains are blocked...there is also a blue or red hose that covers the trailing section of the spiral drive when the window is down...drizzle some light oil down the hose and this will run through the motor drive and may free up the system.....also pull the bottom section of the sheath away far enough to get the WD40 nozzle extension behind and apply generously....unblock the doordrains and clean the gunge out while you have the door card removed......

Hi Just a Thought....switch the ignition on so that all the console lights are glowing...operate the switch on and off in the down direction.... if you see the console lights dim slightly then the motor is stalled because the spiral drive is siezed..I have also known the switch to be dirty (from something spilt over it) if you remove the centre panel you can service the switch with switch cleaner.
