Hello, I'm new to the forum and in an eager effort to sell my silver 88 F-reg 280GE M2 SWB, I completely forgot my manners  Sorry. :(

I was up until end of last year a GWOA member for 2 years and made use of a few of the really great discounts etc. the club has to offer. The main beneficiaries were Scott at Western Mercedes and Northern Radiators, who refubished my triple tanks. Also Flotec who did a great job on my exhaust :D
I also got a service CD, Goodridge hoses and parts off other club members.

Being german and an ex Mercedes/Rolls Royce Mechanic I have a soft spot for Gs and OLD Mercs in general. 8)

One day I may own another Merc, but for now my love affair with the G must end as there are more important things in life than owning a classic car and finances are forbidding me from finishing what I started, which was to fix everything that needed fixing and ONE DAY to do a PROPER 463 exterior update. With that goal in mind, little has been done to the exterior. The only thing that I changed was getting the bigger mirrors, which I think look better and you can see better with them for towing. I also bought new wheelbolts with locking nuts for a frightening price from Mercedes  It made a big improvement over the rusty old wheelnuts though and the wheels can't get nicked now :D

I also had a Thatcham approved Clifford alarm fitted when I got the G, as Direct Line wouldn't insure it otherwise

SILENCE

Oliver drives a german car, lives in a german style house, has a german bloodline Dobermann and IS GERMAN

Now you know why I don't have a sense of humour
I've got a towel though and I know how to use it.

Our previous encounter was a misunderstanding between a German and a Spaniard speaking English. Somehow like this one:

Now I understand!

That's a brilliant find.... Rolling on the floor laughing

Oliver also has a german passport and german parents, so he is a true german, but he was born in England and is actually better at english than his english partner
