Rear Window / headlight washer problems(G280ge)

Hi,

There rear and headlight washer isn't working on my 280ge. I'm not sure i've ever seen them work when my dad had it but I would like to try and fix it can anyone point me in the right direction?

Hi Joe very often caused by an accumulation of crud in the pumps and pipes...the pumps are located in the engine bay on the right hand sidewall (when facing the vehicle) first select each function with the ignition on (engine not running) this will determine if the pump is operating...if not remove the pump... remove the bottom plate clean and replace...plug it back in and test the function...the rear wash suffers from blockage at the non return valve....remove the the inside corner panel behind the jet and clean the pipe and valve... test before replacing the panel...head lamp washers are connected to hoses behind the radiator grill ...****clean the jets with a pin and test the systems BEFORE you start on the above procedures.....
