I notice in the service book it advises to lubricate the sunroof, but where exactly?
Does anyone have a proper picture of the exact points?
Works fine but want to keep it that way! :D

You need to grease all of the slide rail, both sides of the sun roof (s/r). That is is top of the crome slide rail and in between its channel, the s/r guide runs along. Do not forget the springs found at the front of s/r and two side lifters, again at the front part of s/r.

You need to use a CLEAR grease available in an aerosol can. I do not know, if this is available from the general motor accessories, but motor factors should have them. Commonly, available is white grease in an aerosol, avoid using this type if possible, over time the white changes into a dirty shade of white, looks unsitely. You may even use some silicone spray but this dries up quicker, hence requiring more frequent lubrication, i.e, once a month.

Once, the slide rails have been lubricated, tilt the s/r and from inside of the cab pointing the nozzle out wards of s/r, spray onto the the hinge of the tilt section.

Fuchs Lubritek products are good and have distributors country wide.you can access most of the channel area from inside with the roof open....you will need to clean off the old grease. moss and gunge before introducing any new lubricant....*** it is very easy to stain the headlining when cleaning with solvents.......use spareingly......
