reverse parking Sensor on G500 LWB

Hi,

Can anyone help, the reverse parking sensor on my g doesnt work, there are no lights or sounds from it, I have checked the fuses under the passenger side dash and all are ok, Any ideas??

There is an emitter/reciever housed in the near-side rear panel.

Remove and check to see if all connections are secure and that there is power to the unit when reverse is selected, igintion ON.

Check the wiring to the bleeper overhead.

Wiring from each one of the sensors is more difficult to check, since the connectors will be clogged with a load of dirt. All you could do is check that the resistance is near enough the same for each and every one and that the connections are not corrodded.

Frankly, any one of these units can fail, I do not have any more info. and spec. to the system to be of further use. Even speaking to Bosch who make the M/benz units were not able or not willing to be of more help.
