Hello, new to the forum, but not to G ownership. I have a 1982 LWB 280GE, my dad bought this in 1992, and it has somehow become mine(not really sure how or when, but it's mine now!!). We used it standard form for many years until an oil cooler pipe blew and cause serious engine failure. It was laid up for a few years and now is in the process of having a 500SE engine and box fitted. It's rough round the edges and is a long term project, but it's coming on slowly but surely.
Anyway that's about it for now, Frank.

I will do soon once i start the bodywork, at the moment it looks more like a "rust in peace" item rather than a project!!

always be sure to try your local mb dealer first to get a price quote, they are sometimes full of suprises

german ebay is also a great source....tschiewagen or industrytools24 are good honest ebayers.

Hi, Thanks, it's been a long term thing in between other projects. But it is progressing, my main job to do now is bodywork, then back to the conversion.
