Did the green one survive I wonder?!
Makes Piggy look tame, and all with maybe 70bhp :D :D

Landrover being pulled uphill by one
Russ,
tempted to swap yours for a syncro version???
We got a 1996 RHD diesel syncro crew cab here at work, I recall it was an import.
I was always of a notion of buying it,
only 60 odd thousand on her,
taken a bit of abuse though, from useless fuckers who cannot drive.
how about attempting to reverse a 14" I W trailer half full of conc flags stacked on their edge, oh say about 6 or 7 tonne all up, uphill round a corner against the overrun brakes.
then blaming the vehicle when he cooked the clutch.
Doh
It makes me laugh we all seem to look at the same motors

Those photos look like they were taken in Northumberland.
I saw a few of these crossing the A1 towards the Beef Jerky Farm :-) a few months ago.
Wonder if it was these.
Cliff, you've already been down the syncro route.
But when i look at those pics again, i think they deserve another look. They just look so right.
Trouble is, the LEZ makes a diesel one out of the question in London, or will do in 2010.
I still think a Delica may be a goer ....... :D
same theory but with a low box ??
any views ?

I like these things but you have to check them carefully for rust, my choice a Caravelle with the 2.1 injection engine, not many around though and those that are are pricey or have had dodgy camper conversions which spoil them. If you do want a camper the Westfalia conversions are hard to beat. Great footage on the link well done!
deli with a diff lock, comfy, power, auto etc etc, but do have a soft spot for the synchro if only for the puch connection.
Just had this link from Riako in Bavaria thanks mate .
look at that picture at the top of the screen ............wow

And there I thought it was an "Itchyfanny"
very old joke that
Maxwell's just directed me here, ex G owner, now considering a Syncro. If I ever make the jump I'll tell you all about it, bu a 2.1 caravelle with 9 seats sounds just about unbeatable to me.

Drooling, dribbling, drooling
Weight distribution is virtually 50/50% in a G-Wagen so it must have obviously been down to the chunky mud tyres I can see in the picture...
Ahem!
Driver skills?
just a thought

A mechanic mate swears the Scncro an swine to work on?
Why so surprised? Just another superb product of Steyr Puch off-road engineering expertise....... :D
Umm I think I'm getting a little fixated on things involving sand and wheels :? :?
Sounds perfectly normal and healthy to me

Not the T4. Maybe the G for a T3 though :D  Just the job for Tunisia
Nice double bed, built in cooker, fridge etc, and stick a Subaru engine in the back :D (woundn't want to trust one with a Porche engine to go all that way)
