Has anyone used this or any info on it. I ask as its a couple of pence cheaper per litre than premium unleaded and has a delightfull 106 octane rating. The E85 stands for 85% ethanol (that's Pure Vodka to the uninitiated) with 15% petrol.

Re: bioethanol E85

It could have a lot hotter burn. a similar fuel was used on aircraft with 7/14/and 18 cylinder radial engines... Sodium filled exhaust valves were fitted to help compensate for the high burn temperature...the fuel was rated at 115/145 octane and coloured green. now unobtainable and replaced with 100LL (Avgas)
