G 6.3 in Soho,NYC - V rare

Was in NYC recently as saw a silver 2008 G Wagen..on the rear it said G6.3 which I had never seen..So I approach the tinted windows and speak to a dodgy russian Guy who says it's the only one MB have made to date and they had to fit a bonnet scoop to accomodate their newest engine...bonnet looks crap but exhaust was UNREAL...dared not take any pics for fear of being shot..

The only one is a stretch... there aren't many but there is certainly more than one. Others are in the middle east....

Those in middle east are V12s. This was probably a V8 when he was talking about the newest engine. I have heard some middle east guys have even Gs with V12 biturbo engines from a S65 AMG.

Yes that is consistent with the scoop on the bonnet. The V12 6.3 did not require that...
