I am getting a rattle that half sounds like the rear door in not completely closed (but it is)..the noise comes from what seems liek inside the far right rear-. I have jumped up and down on the rear umper to see if it comes from the suspension but no noise! Feels like something is loose and only makes noise when i move? Any thoughts on what it might be?!
Thanks,

Ferdi

Re: Rear Right Hand Rattle/ Squeek : Right above wheel arch

Interior trim or suspension? On my 460 I have found a very likely rear squeak creator (mine was doing it.. yet to prove the theory). That is the top metal trim corner section that is supported by the back interior panel and the side metal rail just under the roof trim. Mine is going to get a little black gunky rubber wedge as I am sure that was my interior squeak.

Suspension squeak I might have had was that the rotting shock absorber top cover tube was rubbing on the lower actual body.. repaired with suitable exhaust section  You could see it as you jack up body and shock went into droop and rust/rub became visible.

there are so many potential noise sources at the back of the G. you need to properly isolate it by having someone else drive your G while you sit in the load space and look for it.

but i reckon it is the door latches - they are notorious for squeaking

Suspect you are right..put some vaseline on the door latches and it has disappeared! Thanks...
