fuel price competition
I have decided to launch a free competition whereby players state the most expensive price they have seen fuel being sold for. The prize will be a litre of fuel.
I start with £1.329 for diesel in Wilingham Cambs
Any type of fuel?
What are the limitations?

That is definitely the highest I have seen yet. But I am sure one of our Irish friends or Dentysmith will come in with some exorborant.
Sorry, can't beat that. £1.27.9 here for diesel. In Hawes.
There used to be a scheme in rural areas where the gov.t subsidised BP, Shell and Esso to sell at the average town price. They didn't help the local independants though.
Janet just paid £1.20 in Bradford
When we went to Scotland in march it was £1.25 in Dourness - I'd bet it was £1.40 now
I think prices are coming down. £1.201 for diesel at my local when it was £1.267 last week.
But veg oil prices aren't cheap. £1.179 for rapeseed at Tescos.
Gerrards X BP Super PLus Diesel £1.31.9 per ltr.

Ohhh! Sounds like a challenge? I will have to wait until I get the gear problems sorted out though….
Deanns in Marlborough, Wiltshire. £1-31.9 for diesel, but they are always pricier than anybody else in the area, to the extend that some grafitti artist has sprayed "Bullsh1t" right across one of their price boards in black paint. Anarchy lives in Marlborough! High time we all started letting our employees (the government) know how we feel about this! Governments should be scared of "The People", not t'other way around! And I suspect Gordon Brown would agree to just about anything at the moment, if he thought it might lift his ratings, let alone his party's.

Well I have'nt got a chance in hell of winning this. It costs me a whopping 20 Riyals to get 90 litres of diesel in Saudi. That equates to £2.70 or 3p per litre!
And I was so looking forward to winning that litre of fuel! :)
IRISH PRICES ON DONEGAL BORDER yesterday €1.39 euro and going up about 3 cents a litre weekly
i think it gave a sterling stg price of £109.9
Local prices for me are € 1.30 for standard diesel and € 1.34 for ULSD.... but I bought some sunflower oil today @ € 1.15/litre :D

Csn you bring some over when your enxt in the UK? Just a couple of suit cases full would do! :P

The competition is open to UK mainland residents only.
Roly, no need to limit it sooo much... and the end of the day, where else are you going to find more expensive fuel?
Hexham - £1.38 for diesel
Wasn't entering it as part of the competition - just as a relevant fact....
I am definitely back in the sunflower oil use... cheapest local price for diesel is € 1.19 and I've already found a steady supply of bottled sunflower at € 1.15... it's not much of a saving but the gap can only widen in the foreseeable future....
To think that my average sunflower cost over 17,000 kms last year was only € 0.706 /litre! (cheapest € 0.59 and priciest € 0.84)
Esso on Holloway Road £1.329 for diesel.
my friend is still in emotional break down after filling his s class cdi today...

this is getting ridiculous!
117.9 u/l and 132.9 diesel BP in Bagshot....
yea! Long live the 500's!!!!!
Spider1V
yes it is about that, but in small cars you should see about 30% better mpg, in g's though the difference gets smaller making it harder to make sense, but surely it cant stay like this for long!!
Tom
p.s it will probably get much higher :(
and as for you joe, all it takes is for you to hear that v8 and your mpg must drop to the low teens!!
eleventeen, twelveteen
was thinking more like tenteen!
But while there is Petrol, I can still afford it and load of 'Greenies' to pixx off then......they can take my G, when they can rip it off my cold, dead hands! (Mwahahaha)
Spider1V aka BPEsso McShell
i saw 1.34.9

Petrol and diesel only. No avgas, rocket fuel ethanol etc. Be serious please.
