Re: clearly not bothered

well its all relative isnt it !!!!
compared to a lot of top end/sporty sceptic cars the g probably is a green option, for instance a 6 plus litre chevy suburban that has so much emmission controls on it a is so big and heavy it does about 3 to the gallon and has all the performance of a trabant!!!!!

Ummmmmmmm... not sure. Do we know how old is the picture? I know that he used to drive a GWagen, but I remember that being like six or seven years ago!

The site I got it from had post it a few days ago as current news. And that Lexus in the background isn't 7 years old.

When did He become governeor of California?

From memory, I would say the G-Wagen is pre 2005 spec. Notice, the wing mounted indicator lenses are amber and not clear, as are the repeaters on the side of wing. The door mounted mirrors are a solid black and do not have the clear indicator lenses built in,

The wiper blades have no spoilers to them, finally, the rain channels on the roof are not enclosed as are the front screen. All these were introduced after 2005 by my recollection.

Nice photo though.

Re: clearly not bothered

Oh I would go further than that and say that the G is a Europa G and probably even a 1999 as it has no rain sensors, no navigation and the mirrors and bumper aren't even colour coded.

But that doesn't mean he can't own a 1999 G in 2008!

And I am fairly certain that that is a 2007 Lexus RX400 in the background.

Regards,

I agree Rakesh, that seems a Europa-imported GWagen (pre-2000).

well there we go then........KFC, LPG its all the same in that it keeps the eco, greenie, 'lets-get-back-to-the-horse-and-cart' brigade happy.
