Did the gypsies nick your engine then Cliff?
Now when my father were a young man
A couple of straw bales and roll the motor on her side onto them and work away at the arse of her.
cars were lighter and men were stronger back then
yep it is and still rising ( apparently)
Over here the "entrephruners" are soaking the seats in water, filling the fuel tank with water etc etc all to get the old motor to weigh a bit better
which is why the scrap dealers have a fixed price per car.
so if you are scrapping a "G", cut her up into bits first and get her weighed
Seems a shame, chassis looks solid too,
as is always the case
ie.
I have never seen a rotten / rusty "G" chassis unless bent damaged welded etc.
ie if left as the factory intended they never seem to rust
Wow
:D , the scrap chats are move around in packs at the moment ,
the price of steel must be good . :D
