Berks / Oxon borders (The Alternative Scottish Event)
Anyone fancy meeting up to do a few lanes. This months TOR mag has a roadbook for Berks & Oxon borders, lanes around the ridgeway.
The roadbook is 70 miles in total, i'm sure a fair amount of that will be on tarmac, estimated time is 5 hours.
Roadbook starts in Chilton and ends in Lambourn
According to TOR, the route picks its way through surviving byways south of Didcot, crossing the Ridgeway. By and large suitable for any 4x4, but with ruts here and there that could cause trouble to a soft roader, but should be a walk in the park for a well preped off road vehicle.
So, should be a walk in the park for a G then.
So judging by the speeds that we did Yorkshire in when trying to chase down Fred at the "first" parking lot, it shouldn't take us more than 90mins?
I am definitely game. A friend is in town but sure he would happily come. The next question is when? It would have to be before the 7th....
Depending when - would be happy to join in.

Did you boys go? Or was there to much snow?

It was a stunning day. Started with a big breakfast at a local garden centre where we all met up. 4 Gs made up of Bill, Peter Perfect, Mark and myself and everyone else's respective friends/partners/other
Lots of snow and lots of sun! A perfect day really. Sorry I only had my phone but these are the results. There would of been more pictures but we were too busy having fun to take any....
Hope you have washed that G! Looks fun, pleased you had good day. Less work more play i feel

Looks like a great day - the Snow and G looks like a match made in heaven!
Maxwell - leave the mud on - you can tell the next 'tree hugger' you have to have a 4x4 for your country estate!
Hopefully will make it to the next one!
