I am told by Bilstein that codes B46-0504-E and B46-0504-O have a much better construction than their stock shock-absorbers B46-1727, B46-1728 or 1734 (f.e. rod diameter is 25mm as opposed to 18mm).
Apparently these used to be sold for the 461 but are now (probably) revalved, cost twice as much and are thoroughly recommended for the swb G500 as a superior product. Yet they are not listed as such...
Does this mumbo-jumbo ring a bell? :shock:

Did you fit Bilstein shocks ?

They also offer sport B6 off-road with part nos B46-1635/36

I fitted them more than a year ago but for the life of me I do not remember the codes. My car is now in Germany. When I get it back (in a month's time) and if you are interested I will have a look.
