There may be some in belgium though

Dirk, I know a few people in Germany have converted to the 250turbo to stay below the high taxation class and are very happy with the results but you may be looking at the standard 250

Re: 250 GD

I gather that you are referring to the W460 250GD.

Basically, the engine is similar to the one fitted to the W463 300GD but with a cylinder less.

Performance is similar to the W460 300GD, but engine is much smoother and fuel consumption marginally better.

In W460 tune it delivers 84 BHP.

5-speed gearbox was standard in this model and when new it was on sale for slightly more than the 300GD. The 250 GD was fitted as standard with the lowest gearing ever offfered in a GWagen (diffs were 6.2:1).

It is a good base to fit very large tyres and the engine from a E250 Turbodiesel (or the 190 2.5 Turbodiesel)

Re: 250 GD

Thanks for the interesting info.
I didnt' know about the diff's.
So a 250 is a good choice if I can find one.
The one I had located is now already sold for only 5000 E
Bad luck for me but next time better.
Thanks again
Best regards,
Dirk
