It doesn't have any doors.
After 2 or 3 months on the road you wouldn't be smiling

Very strange. 463 bumper with the intercooler, 463, grill and light surrounds. 461 windshield, 460 mirrors (sort of) 460 interior.....

Re: Fantastic looking Summer G

its basically a tarted up mil spec g, with 463 front end.it has the fold down screen and high sills,it may have had the canvas lift off doors as well, which would explain the l;ack of doors on a sunny day!!!!

How was it built:

http://www.tschiewagon.com/de/mercedes-g-klasse-individual-loesungen/wol...

The owner had a few other nice and rare Gs, including one used to carry Stinger launcher a a petrol-engined Kipper. All of them are on his web www.raicar.com

skjohans,
does your 240GD have any problems pulling that trailer ?

Re: Fantastic looking Summer G

Trailer pulling?
well - Last summer I managed an average speed of 68km/h through Sweden on my way to North-Cape. But Sweden is flat.
Up the hills in this country is another story - SLOW!!
I can do 35 km/h up 9% grades  with a combined weight of ¨3500 kg.

The only photo I have here is the one showing my homemade 50mm ball conversion but you can find the Mercedes Part Nos from the attached Parts List.

Sorry - I don't have the diagram for the trailer, but the tail lights are the same as the military G.

why didnt you use the military trailer hitch ?
But I do  The kit just makes it easier to convert to 50mm ball for towing civilian trailers. And it moves the hitch further back which was helpful once I was rear-ended by an M-class Mercedes at a red-light. Guess who won.......
