Twodogs latest G
Last weekend when chatting to Roly I said " I never see any Gs in Dudley "
Anyway mid week a retired chap turns up from two mile down the road and said " I have a 1990 230GE for sale " Amazing just down the road  .
Anyway the deal has been done and another G sits on the drive .
Just goes to show thay are out there ........ :D .
The wheel archs are wrong and as for the size of the cotton reels its running on , I suppose it made it easyer to get into , but these are easy changes .
this must be one of the last sold in the UK .

Hi Check the Vin Number on the Russian website. it wiil tell you when the order was place ..and what the config was at birth.....
Hi ordered and built in 1989..Nautic blue.. steel wheels.. no arches.. no rear seat headrests.. no armrests... no electric pack.. registered 2nd Jan 1990 in Worcester...
Hi the 230 does well (economically) on LPG.. good "cheap to run" domestic use vehicle...last lpg we have had installed was a successful experiment ..we took out the main fuel tank.and the nearside aux tank.
then fitted the lpg tank where the original main tank was...using the off side aux tank as the " get you to the next LPG station" 15 ltrs petrol...85ltr LPG gets you minimum 180miles..great for local use and no prob's with Inner London ..then you can keep the green paint for touchups on the others....
get in my son why not have multiple g s its just all those running costs insurance tax etc other wise g s are a good (ok acceptable) invesment
It has been said, "The most expensive investment you will ever make is a cheap Mercedes"
Good one Cliff. That looks like a pretty straight motor. Get those horrible wide wheel arches off it PDQ. Another project :D
Over the years how many Gs have you had Cliff? Just being nosey a nosy Dawny.
Congratulations Cliff, Looks good. Could be the twin to mine.
