G500 swb (2004) rubber mats
I post this email in the hope that it might assist others.
For some time I have been trying to find a set of really good rubber mats for my car. MB OE did not provide the protection I wanted. In the end I found an expensive but well made solution as offered by ORC (159 euro each) http://www.orc.de/zeigebild.php?bild=/produkte/images/G_752.jpg.
They need a bit of careful trimming because they are made for the lwb but otherwise they are fine.
I have a set from a clk, they are rubber. I got them for £10 but they are normally £40. I had to do a bit of cutting as they went into a lhd.

But Mercedes do make an excellent OEM mat for the G. I've got a set and they cover absolutely everything but the sidewall of the transmission.

The OEM mats, even if available today, are ridiculously expensive. However, every now and then you have them offered on German Ebay.

Those are what I have.
I'd imagine they fit both - having owned both a LWB and SWB I don't see why they would be any different except possibly for the front seat and these ones seem to extend under it.
The rear cargo mat would obviously be a different length and would have different cut-outs depending on whether you have a 50/50 or 60/40 split.

The referecences above are valid for both the Cabrio and the SWB hardtop for LHD versions only up to MY 1999.
However, the EPC does not list any rubber mats for MY2000 and after other than the one in the boot, which has the same ref number A 463 684 00 05.
Therefore, I cannot be sure that the mats will fit your G.

Hmm so the consensus is that the part numbers above provided by James are only related to pre-1999 SWB/cabrios?
I found the following on ebay, they look different to the ones above, and are only offered for the LWB version, so is it safe to assume they won't fit an SWB:

As usual you appear a step ahead.
Your mats look the same as the ORC items I bought.
MB Greece told me this design is no longer available (mind you, their information on G-Wagens has proved unreliable in the past).
ORC advertise the mats only for the LWB and only for the front passengers. In the SWB car, the area between front and rear seats is very different to the LWB version and thus the mats are incompatible.
If the OE MB mats are still in production and if by any chance you have part numbers for a 2004 lhd SWB W463 (front and rear, lhs and rhs), I would be most grateful.
