does anyone know if any d2b OEM Mercedes cd changer will fit in a 2000 G? or do i need to get a specific part number?

also curious - i notice that some have the changer mounted in the rear wheel well and some under the drivers seat. i'd like to stick one in the wheel well but my battery is there. where is the battery on the Gs with the cd changer mounted there?

which head unit do you have in the vehicle? If your not clear have a look in you manual. Some CD changers have fibre optic cables others standard.

i've got the audio 30 cd - its has the d2b fibre optic connector. just wondering if any d2b fibre optic merc cd changer will fit and function with steering controls.
